As the headline indicates, I’m not writing that much right now, this because I don’t live at home at the moment. They are in the process of demolishing and building in our apartment, re-piping and a new bathroom. I therefore don’t have that flexible computer hours. But, to summarize my situation: I’m back in Stockholm which feels alright, but I would rather be with Julia, but also fun of course. Here everything has started up in high tempo, lot’s of rehearsals and quite a few gigs coming up.

This morning I and Pål Svenre mixed the funk song in his studio, it turned at pretty well being written the day before the recording. You can listen to it here: The Day Before.
Can explain a little about the song as well: The purpose of the course was to record a song in an optional genre, but not to record everything in a single take, instead first do the foundation of the song and then put on the other stuff later. I chose to record drums, bass and guitar first. Then we have put on percussion, horns and organ.
Musicians are: Niklas Barnö trumpet, Me alto sax/baritone sax, Edvin Nahlin organ, Alexander Kronbrink guitar, Henrik Linder Bass, Aron Mellergård drums/percussion.

Feels like I have overstrained my right wrist, have really big pains there right now. Electric Bebop-gig tonight with lots of fast songs, hope my wrist lasts and that I can play it all, I’m not at all as prepared as I would like to be.

Tomorrow I’m recording with a guy named Patrick El-Hag, I hope it will be good. In the evening Dave Douglas plays at Fasching, I finally get to hear him live, his records are great!

Now I have to warm up before I leave for the gig, I’ll get back with new blog posts when I have some time at a computer!
